DOCUMENTATION · COMPLETE USER GUIDE

From first idea
to finished export.

This is the operating manual for SongIntent: every workflow, workspace, writing tool, audio control, review step, button family, export, and privacy action.
Nothing enters the lyric until you choose it Manual writing remains available after AI limits Projects are private by default
01 · START HERE

Choose the right path before you touch the tools.

SongIntent has two equal entry paths. Quick Create is for a complete first draft. Writer’s Room is for your own lyric, one selected passage at a time. Both can move into Deep Craft.

COMPLETE SONG · FAST

Quick Create

Use this when you have the premise, must-say points, or title but want a complete genre-native proposal.

Start Quick Create
YOUR LYRIC · PRECISE HELP

Writer’s Room

Use this when authorship and line-level decisions matter most. Highlight only what needs help.

Open Writer’s Room
Do not begin with rhyme.

The strongest workflow is meaning → voice → pocket → anchor sound → lyric construction → performance test.

02 · QUICK CREATE

Create a complete song from start to finish.

01

Choose Quick Create

Select Quick Create on the Studio start page.

02

Write the meaning lock

Describe the claim, feeling, event, lesson, and non-negotiable details. Do not fill this field with rhyme instructions.

03

Add the destination

Enter the title, chorus phrase, final line, or payoff the song should earn.

04

Choose Genre DNA

Pick Rap, Pop, R&B, or Country. Genre changes architecture and performance assumptions, not merely style.

05

Generate the complete song

Select Generate Complete Song. Review the named sections and craft notes.

06

Review before accepting

Keep the current draft, Harvest keepers, accept the proposal, or open one section in Writer’s Room. Nothing is accepted automatically.

07

Shape section by section

Select weak text and request one specific move instead of repeatedly regenerating the entire song.

08

Audit and perform

Open Rhyme Map, listen against the beat, use read-back when pocket matters, then export.

03 · GENRE DNA ENGINE

Genre changes the writing process—not just the adjective in a prompt.

Each profile controls its voice starting point, three structural choices, melodic and rhythmic phrasing, rhyme density and evolution, and a live quality audit. Your customized Voice DNA overrides genre defaults.

Rap

Bar and sound-family architecture; cross-bar syntax; internal, slant, multisyllabic and phrase rhyme; pocket transformation; anti-uniformity checks.

Pop

Verse-to-chorus lift; shorter repeatable hooks; open-vowel singability; section contrast; bridge reframe.

R&B

Confessional specificity; elastic pocket; held-vowel and ad-lib space; refrain depth; assonant sonic color.

Country

Concrete scenes; causal story progression; believable plain speech; natural rhyme; an earned title turn.

Rap + R&B

Denser evolving rap verses plus a simpler sung center, connected through shared phrase, vowel, image and perspective.

Live audit

Checks visible structural signals and returns revision targets. It cannot decide whether a song is emotionally powerful or commercially viable.

Switching safely: SongIntent does not rewrite existing lyrics. If Voice DNA still matches the old genre default, the new default is applied; if you customized it, your settings are preserved. Uploaded beats are also preserved.

03 · WRITER’S ROOM

Co-write without surrendering the song.

Selection defines scope. Highlight a phrase to change a phrase, a line to change a line, or a passage only when its logic must move together.

Write first

Type directly in the bar or section canvas. Written syllables are a guardrail, not a performance verdict.

Select precisely

Drag across the exact text needing help; surrounding song context stays available.

Choose one move

Ask for preserved meaning, deeper rhyme, cadence, imagery, flow, payoff, and more.

Compare six routes

Review Best Fit, Meaning, Rhyme, Flow Switch, Punchline/Payoff, and Unexpected.

Place deliberately

Replace, use, continue after, insert elsewhere, or save. Nothing inserts itself.

Keep alternatives

Save strong unused material in Vault instead of losing it.

Six options are not six truths. If the meaning becomes vaguer, the rhyme is not an improvement.

04 · SELECTION TOOLS

Use sound and poetic devices surgically.

Sound Family

Highlight a phrase, select Sound Family, then Find matching sound shapes. Candidates are ranked by sound shape, cadence, and semantic usefulness. Open one in Rhyme, save it, or make it an anchor.

Poetic Device

Choose alliteration, assonance, consonance, onomatopoeia, rhyme, metaphor, simile, personification, imagery, repetition, meter, or enjambment; then set scope and intensity. Generate three controlled options and apply only the version you approve.

Use a device to clarify or intensify

Let it serve meaning and delivery.

Do not decorate every line

Constant devices sound artificial and erase contrast.

05 · BEAT, FLOW, AND MELODY

Capture the pocket the tool can actually hear.

SPEECH-LIKE PERFORMANCE

Flow-to-Lyrics

Use articulated mumble, scat, or rough words with word-like consonants and changing vowels. Pure humming cannot reliably produce lyrics.

PITCH + PHRASE SHAPE

Melody Sketch

Use humming and held notes. It maps pitch contour and phrase movement without claiming it heard words.

01

Set BPM and beat

Use an included beat or privately upload one you can legally use. Confirm source BPM by ear.

02

Choose mode and length

Choose Flow or Melody and 1, 2, or 4 bars. Use headphones to avoid beat bleed.

03

Run preflight

Ready can proceed; Caution deserves review; Redo means the source is too weak or ambiguous.

04

Preview, then apply

Preview timed takes on the beat and use one only when meaning and movement work.

05

Read it back

Treat timing, stress, pause, and duration scores as diagnostic—not artistic grades.

06 · DEEP CRAFT

Build architecture instead of accumulating lines.

RHYME
Rhyme + Punchline Lab

Generate phrase-sized clouds or punchlines, then place the anchor internally, ending, delayed, cross-bar, or pickup.

VOICE
Voice DNA

Set register, energy, regional influence, era, profanity, speech looseness, implication, imagery, and your vocabulary.

CONTROLS
Block Controls

Set Flow Architecture and measurable rhyme, cadence, family-duration, and mutation targets.

HANDOFF
Transition Architect

Carry part of one sound family into the next when the family is ready to evolve.

HINGE
Bar 9 Contrast Event

Change density, stress, triplets, rests, stretched words, pickups, perspective, or family for a reason.

MEANING
Must-Convey Coverage

Review whether required ideas appear in the draft. This is not fact-checking or human verification.

COACH
Route Coach

Choose setup, evidence, escalation, contrast, or payoff before requesting validated anchor-aware bars.

07 · RHYME LAB, SOUND BANK, AND VAULT

Three spaces with three different jobs.

Rhyme Lab

A construction table for meaning, rhyme inventories, multiple family columns, and bridges.

Sound Bank

The project’s working sound vocabulary. Add a phrase to a bar or make it an anchor.

Vault

Cross-song memory for lines, hooks, titles, metaphors, concepts, families, and flow ideas.

Harvest Draft protects strong excerpts before a large rewrite. Keep, Ignore, Continue writing, or Keep all remaining.

08 · REVIEW

Use Rhyme Map as evidence, not decoration.

Switch between Generated proposal and Current draft, then inspect:

  1. Sound architecture: probable vowel paths and family movement.
  2. Cadence changes: written density, plus audio timing when available.
  3. Four-dimensional flow: rhyme depth, evolution, landing position, and motif transformation.
  4. Internal rhyme: events before line endings.
  5. Multisyllabic connections: phrase links rather than inflated counts.
  6. Rhyme bridges: evidence that one family becomes another.

Perform the lyric aloud. If the map and your ear disagree, your performance is the final authority.

09 · SAVE, EXPORT, AND DATA

Leave with a usable song and recoverable record.

ControlUse
SavePersist the project; confirm the header says Saved.

11 · TROUBLESHOOTING

When a control is disabled or a result feels wrong.

Generate is disabled.

Confirm the AI engine is ready, required meaning or selection exists, and no request is already running. Manual writing remains open after AI limits.

Flow-to-Lyrics says redo.

Use headphones, reduce noise, move closer, and articulate consonants and changing vowels. If you hummed, use Melody Sketch.

The lyric rhymes but sounds generic.

Lower density or strictness, strengthen Voice DNA, add concrete details, and favor truthful images over filler.

The cadence score is low.

Inspect phrase starts, stresses, pauses, and duration separately. An intentional flow change can correctly lower the score.

Generated proposal is disabled in Rhyme Map.

It remains unavailable until a proposal exists. Use Current draft or generate first.

I partly like a section before regeneration.

Save, run Harvest Draft, keep excerpts in Vault, and export portable JSON before a large revision.

My uploaded beat sounds wrong.

Confirm its real source BPM in Beat Rack. SongIntent does not pretend it measured the waveform.

Will deleting the project remove it permanently?

Yes. Download TXT and portable JSON first. Project deletion is intentionally irreversible.
